University Groups
University groups play a vital role in Amnesty International Australia's framework because our success depends on collective action and community support. University students as a part of their AIA university group will be given the opportunity to take action on our campaigns, raise funds, letter write and organise events. Our aim is to engage young people in human rights activism so our future work flourishes.
If you fall into one or more of the following 3 categories, we would love to hear from you!
1. Uni students interested in being general members of their Amnesty International university group.
2. Uni students interested in helping run the 2012 O-Week stall for Amnesty International. If you're keen and friendly, you are what we are looking for!
3. Uni students who are interested in leading a university group in 2012 and beyond. We are still looking for convenors or co-convenors for MONASH CAULFIELD, BALLARAT UNI, LA TROBE BUNDOORA and RMIT CITY. Candidates must be motivated, organised and passionate about human rights. Ideally candidates will have extensive leadership experience. Please email CCTintern@amnesty.org.au for a full position description.
All applications should be emailed to Andrea at CCTintern@amnesty.org.au. In your application, please detail which position you are expressing interest in. Applicants for position of convenor / co-convenor should include a CV and a brief cover letter. Any further questions should be contained within the email or you may wish to contact her on 94120700.
