A few of our actions have to be printed and posted as this may be the most effective means to reach a decision maker.

You may find that your letter contains extra information in the header and/or footer. This can be changed in the options or properties of the browser. How to do this for some popular browsers is show below.

Microsoft Internet Explorer

Use the menu bar to open "File" then "Page Setup ...". Delete any text which appears in the fields labelled "Header" and "Footer". Use the OK button to save your changes.

Mozilla and Firefox

On Mac OS X: Select the "Firefox" option from the printer preferences and set all "Page Headers" and "Page Footers" drop downs to "(Blank)".

On Windows: Use the menu to go to "File" then "Page Setup...". Select the"Margins & Header / Footer tab". Set all Header & Footer drop downs to "--blank--". Use the OK button to save your changes.

Safari

Select the "Safari" item from the printer preferences drop down and deselect "Print webpage information in headers and footers".

Opera

Opera on Mac OS X: Select the Opera option from the print properties and deselect "print headers and footers".

Opera on Windows: Use the menu to open "File" then "Print options ...". Deselect "Print headers and footers". Use the OK button to save your changes.
