A recent Amnesty mission into Syria has revealed the scale of human suffering ravishing the suburbs of the major city Aleppo.

Overwhelming evidence that crimes against humanity have been committed by the Syrian regime has prompted nothing more than strong words at the Security Council. No concrete action has been taken.

The atrocities in Aleppo are not the first to take place in Syria. Since mass protests began over a year ago, the Syrian government has responded with brutal force. To date, over 10,000 civilians have been killed.

Tell Russia: stop the bloodshed

Let’s press Russia – a key country blocking international action – to stand up against the brutality and prevent further loss of lives. Your message will go to Russia's Minister of Foreign Affairs, Sergei Viktorovich Lavrov.

Why Russia?

The UN Security Council has repeatedly failed to protect the people of Syria, in part due to resistance from Russia. While Russia supported a UN Security Council Resolution on 14 April calling for ceasefire and a six-point peace plan, they continue to supply the Syrian government with weapons.
