About ACT Southern NSW

About Amnesty International in the ACT and Southern NSW

AIA in ACT/S-NSW aims to harness the skills, energy and passion of people in our region to work together in defending and protecting human rights.

In ACT/S-NSW there are thousands of AIA supporters working in different ways to defend human rights. There are local groups throughout regional NSW, who meet regularly, organise events and campaign on human rights in their local areas. There are also numerous issue based networks which campaign on things like ‘Stop violence against women’ and the 'death penalty'. Various teams also have a vital role in the work of Amnesty, such as the website team, the communications team and the outreach team.
