Amnesty Community Campaigner: Bede Carmody, and Human Rights Defenders: Mary Frigo and Hannah Lewis working to abolish the death penalty
To increase public awareness regarding the World Day Against the Death Penalty, Amnesty International ACT/Southern NSW set up a public information stall. Amnesty activists and volunteers provided information on abolishing the death penalty and there were petitions and postcards around the death penalty. More than 300 people participated and took action.
