Invite your MP to a special ‘Our Generation’ screening at Parliament House
- Published on 30/01/2012
At 6pm on Monday 27 February there will be a special screening of the documentary 'Our Generation' at Parliament house in Canberra, and you can invite your MP to attend the screening.
This incredible film depicts Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Peoples' struggle for their land, culture and freedom in Australia, with a special focus on the homelands movement; its origins and its importance today.
It's an issue that politicians have told us they want to learn more about, and your MP needs to know that this is a subject you care about. Can you call or write to your MP to invite them along? Not only will they get a chance to watch this important film, but they can also speak with a number of experts and Elders at a discussion panel following the screening.
