Volunteer

Amnesty International is a worldwide movement driven by its members, activists, volunteers and donors. AI is independent of any government, political ideology, economic interest or religion and does not accept any funding from government bodies, so it relies on people like you to drive it forward and achieve change in the world. We are an organisation founded on volunteers. Without passionate, dedicated individuals like you we would be unable to achieve human rights impact across Australia and around the globe. Volunteer work is available in many areas, from support work to decision-making and participating in activist consultations.

Whether you have a day a week or a day a year, you can become involved in Amnesty's work to defend human rights globally!

This Action Centre advertises volunteer vacancies on this website.

Volunteer vacancies

We are having stalls at both the 2011 Tuggeranong Festival and The Braidwood Markets on Saturday November 26, 2011 and need people to help us out at both.

To make these stalls successful we need to have it personed throughout the day.

If you can spare and hour or two to help out at Tuggeranong please contact Llincoln Young via lincolnj@iinet.net.au

If you are a Braidwood local or live close by and want to help out there please contact Bede Carmody via bede.carmody@amnesty.org.au

Assisting on a stall is a great way to meet like-minded Amnesty members as well as helping get our human rights message across to the general public.

And fear not you don't need to be an expert on the issues to help out as experienced activists will provide you with easy-to-follow campaign information
