Congo's War has resulted in over five million deaths - with more than half those casualties being children. In the past 15 years it has claimed the equivalent of the entire population of Scotland and Northern Ireland. It has been estimated that 45,000 people die every month.

Come and join the Congolese Community at the University of Tasmania to find out more. Listen to a talk on the human rights situation in the Democratic Republic of the Congo, watch a film on the war in Congo and go in the draw to win a lucky door prize. There will be an Amnesty Stall with information on human rights and an action that you can sign to prevent human rights abuses in the Congo.
