If you would like to find out what Amnesty International does and how you can become involved, then come along to our Open Day at our Brisbane office.
The Brisbane office is located in the heart of Fortitude Valley and we will be holding our open day during the Valley Fiesta.
You can come along and find out about Amnesty International's work on human rights world wide and the many ways you can be part of it. You'll be able to talk to our volunteers about the different types of volunteering roles available, plus chat to members of local Amnesty community, youth, and uni groups, as well as members of the Qld/Northern NSW branch committee who will be available to discuss their roles and how the organisation works.
We'll also be holding a photographic exhibition showcasing photos by Hamish Gregory and Kylie Jury. The exhibition features a series of images of refugees who have settled in Australia and highlights the positive impact refugees have on Australian society.
The first 30 people who come along to the Open Day will receive a free custom designed graffitied Amnesty International t-shirt.

I hope that Australia is bringing diplomatic pressure to bear in the fight against this prehistoric legislation.
