Amnesty International’s Demand Dignity campaign aims to end global poverty by strengthening recognition and protection of the rights of the poor. The campaign demands the leadership, accountability and transparency that is essential to end the human rights violations that keep people poor.
Every person, everywhere in the world, has a basic right to an adequate standard of living – the right to food, water, housing, health and education.
It is the combined abuse of civil, cultural, economic, political and social rights that drives and deepens poverty.
The SA/NT Demand Dignity Campaign members work to promote the Demand Dignity campaign. We inform people of the issues through public forums, information sessions, online campaigns, blogging and by lobbying government and corporate decision makers.
