Impunity for Darfur must be opposed
On 30 July, Amnesty International called on the United Nations Security Council to reject initiatives to defer the investigation and prosecution of crimes in Darfur by the International Criminal Court for 12 months, which could then be renewed, possibly indefinitely each year.
