Michael Becker’s sense of humour stood him in good stead during his early years with Amnesty International when, as treasurer of the South Australia and Northern Territory Branch Committee, balancing the budget was a well-nigh impossible task.
Leading by example, for 20 years Michael has been at Candle Days, fetes and quiz nights rattling the tin for Amnesty International.
At this year’s National Annual General Meeting it was our turn to thank Michael for is contribution to the organisation, both as leader of the Unley group and as treasurer of the branch committee on a number of occasions.
In presenting Michael with the June Fassina Service Award, outgoing National President Georgina Perry paid tribute to "a man of great integrity, compassion, loyalty and a great team member".
