About Amnesty International NSW
- Published on 6/11/2009
Amnesty International Australia (AIA) NSW aims to harness the skills, energy and passion of people in our region to work together in defending and protecting human rights.
The NSW Branch Committee is responsible for leading and planning for the branch, and provides support and motivation to NSW members.
In NSW there are thousands of AIA supporters working in different ways to defend human rights. There are local groups throughout regional NSW, who meet regularly, organise events and campaign on human rights in their local areas. There are also numerous issue based networks which campaign on issues such as ‘Stop violence against women’ and the 'death penalty'. Various teams also have a vital role in the work of Amnesty, such as the website team, the communications team and the Outreach team.
Last but not least our wonderful volunteers within the action centre contribute to the ongoing work that we do.
Whether you want to join one of our action groups or networks, volunteer at events or help us out at the Amnesty action centre, there are many ways in which you can get join us at Amnesty International in NSW.

Is this the main office for all amnesty international affairs in Australia? Do you have smaller satellite offices?
