The Amnesty Business Group met on Thursday 15th October 2009 at 6.30pm Georges Café – Piccadilly 210 Pitt Street.
Topics of Discussion:
Forum on Corporate Social Responsibility is scheduled for:
Wednesday November 11th, Sydney Mechanics School of Arts, 280 Pitt Street at 6.30pm.
- Rohan to continue liaison with speakers: Professor David Kinley – Syd Uni Law School & Sarah Marland – Amnesty International Melbourne
- Virpi to confirm venue booking & prepare event proposal
- Rohan to provide synopsis for event proposal and promotion
- Rohan to be MC for event.
- Fiona to collate details for promotional flyer and Dora to review.
- Fiona to investigate the Amnesty office printing flyers and & have the event posted on the Amnesty NSW website upcoming events.
- Fiona to promote to Ethical Investor
- Virpi & Fiona to maintain liaison with Demand Dignity campaign
- James to promote through other networks.

Members are requested to promote the event to all potential interested parties.
Other Business
Publications:
- CPA publication through Amnesty’s Melbourne office - pending. James contacting FINSIA - pending.
- Celeste, former Amnesty Intern is to be featured in Charter Magazine- Chartered Accountants Society monthly magazine
Research projects:
- Virpi to complete letter on Leighton’s and forward to Claire Mallison for approval and support prior in sending on the groups behalf. Alternatively it can be sent unofficially. - Pending
- Fiona has drafted a ‘welcome’ letter to Anne Pickard asking about Shell’s Niger Delta activities. - pending
Web page: Has been updated with articles written by Fiona, Rohan, & Satya. Link to Ethical Investor Magazine has also been added.
National phone hook up scheduled for Monday 26th October.
