The exhibition will run from 21 January until the 1st of February 2009 with official function and presentations of the people's choice award on Saturday 24th January from 5-8pm. The night will feature live music, high profile speakers, celebrity judges and light refreshments. Each year hundreds of guests have enjoyed this celebration.

Two main awards will be presented on the day:

*The people’s choice award selected by the public attending the function, *and the critics choice selected by a panel of critics, artists and community representatives with up to $1000 in prizes.

The event aims to increase awareness of Amnesty International’s work in human rights protection and encourage support and donations. It also provides a platform for emerging artists to exhibit their work.

The focus of the exhibition is the artist’s interpretation of what freedom means to them.
