At this meeting, a summary of the recent Amnesty Forum held in Coffs Harbour on August 8 will be presented and discussed.

Importantly, we will also be finalising the petition we have raised for Father Nguyen Van Ly, imprisoned in Vietnam for his activism regarding free speech and religious tolerance. This petition will be sent to the Vietnamese Government, arriving in time for 'Vietnam International Day’: a day when the Vietnamese Government is known to release prisoners. Our petition will request that Father Ly's case be considered.
