Customs House
During the Second World War, 200,000 women were forced into sexual slavery by the Japanese military. The Japanese Government has not accepted full responsibility for these human rights violations suffered by former ‘comfort women’. By August 17, we hope to have 2000 ‘butterfly postcards’ signed and delivered in time for the ‘Global Day of Action for Comfort Women’. Sign your butterfly postcard to support the campaign and see the photo exhibition.
Come along to the event, and if you are interested, we are looking for some volunteers to help make this day a success.
There will be an information night for those who are volunteering on Tuesday 11 August, between 5.30 and 6.30pm at the NSW Action Centre (Level 1, 79 Myrtle Street, Chippendale, 2007). Pizza will be provided.
