Thousands of same sex couples in Australia wish to marry, but currently the law prevents them from doing so. Our NSW LGBTQI network is taking part in the national campaign for same sex marriage in Australia, a highlight of which is the National Day of Action for same-sex marriage.

The campaign aims to change public attitudes towards lesbian and gay relationships and put pressure on the government to legislate for equal marriage rights.

The Sydney event in the National Day of Action, is a march from Sydney Town Hall to Darling Harbour, where the National Labor Conference, which this year will be including a discussion on the party's policy towards same-sex marriage.
