A lecture on Sri Lanka's human rights emergency presented by the Centre for Peace and Conflict Studies (CPACS) and the Australian Centre for Independent Journalism, UTS. Learn how and why the human rights emergency is being hidden and what you can do about it. Speakers include Bruce Haigh, political author and commentator; Dr John Whitehall, Paediatrician and Associate Professor in Public Health at James Cook University; and Dr Sam Pari, Tamil human rights advocate. You will also hear eyewitness accounts from government-run internment camps where 300,000 people are being held, away from the scrutiny of international humanitarian agencies and media.
