The NSW Demand Dignity action group will be meeting again on Tuesday 4 October from 6.30 to 8.30pm. This meeting is not to be missed as Barbara Shaw, a delegate to the UN's permanent forum of Indigenous Issues will be joining us. Barbara is a Mt Nancy town camp resident from Alice Springs, and appeared shortly in 'Our Generation' (2010). Our main focus topic will centre on Amnesty International's current Homelands Report.

All are welcome to attend.

Demand Dignity Campaign

Every person, everywhere in the world, has a basic right to an adequate standard of living – the right to food, water, housing, health and education. It is the combined abuse of civil, cultural, economic, political and social rights that drives and deepens poverty.

Amnesty International’s Demand Dignity campaign aims to end global poverty by strengthening recognition and protection of the rights of the poor. The campaign will demand the leadership, accountability and transparency that is essential to end the human rights violations that keep people poor.

The NSW Demand Dignity Campaign members are part of the NSW Branch of Amnesty International Australia. We are a group of activists working to promote the Demand Dignity Campaign and its main issues

If you are interested in being part of the Demand Dignity Campaign, or would like more information, please contact the Amnesty International Australia in New South Wales. Level 1, 79 Myrtle Street Chippendale, NSW or call 02 8396 7670, alternatively email
