An active, vibrant network committed to defending human rights through campaigning, fundraising, letter writing, events, and a newsletter.

What is the Schools Network?

The schools network provides support, resources and information for school based groups and Amnesty's student members and activists. Our monthly Events newsletter is packed with information, updates and suggestions for action.

If you want to start your own Amnesty group in your school, use the link on the right to download our registration form. For more information e-mail the Schools Network or call (02) 8396 7670 and don't forget to watch this space for more opportunities to get involved!

You can now borrow films from the Action Centre for use in your school — use the order form in the right hand menu.

You can also arrange for a speaker to talk to your group or your school assembly by contacting the NSW Speakers Group

Enthusiastic about student activism?

We want to share inspiring news about young human rights defenders. Send us pictures and articles describing events your school group has been involved in, or artwork and creative writing inspired by Human Rights.

Want to stay involved with AIA when you leave school?

Email NSW Students to find out about active groups at universities in NSW, or the NSW Action Centre to find out about volunteering at the AIA office in Sydney.

Register your school

To register your school, download the registration form and get it to us as soon as you can. Registered groups receive regular materials and support throughout the school year.
