Armidale/UNE

Our group is open to people from the Armidale district and those working or studying at the University of New England (UNE). If you wish to support Amnesty International and its efforts in relation to Human Rights you are welcome to join our group and attend meetings.

Anyone is welcome to join our group and attend meetings. We meet on the second Tuesday of each month at 7.30pm, upstairs at the Wicklow Hotel (corner Marsh and Dumaresq Streets). While we encourage supporters to become Human Rights Defenders and members of Amnesty International NSW, it costs nothing to be part of our local group. If you wish to be on our database and receive information about meetings and local events just email your details to amnesty.armidale@gmail.com. By being involved with the Armidale – UNE Group you can get involved in:

• organising events and stalls
• letter writing campaigns
• campaigning on behalf of prisoners of conscience
• working on key campaigns
• making representation to local MPs
• working with local media, and
• raising awareness about human rights in your community.
