Amnesty International relies on the hard work of volunteers to help defend human rights around the world.

Amnesty International is a democratic, not for profit organisation that enables you, as a volunteer and activist, to work at every level from support work to decision-making and participation in Amnesty International activist consultations.

Volunteers and activists can:

• join their local action group;
• campaign for human rights;
• fund raise;
• general office administration duties; and
• coordinate events.

Our information sessions will provide you with the opportunity to find out more about Amnesty International, our current campaigns and how you can get involved. The information session itself should take about ninety minutes. You will have an opportunity to ask any questions about the organisation and the volunteering opportunities.
