We are a team of activists working on Amnesty International's Stop Violence Against Women Campaign

The Queensland/ Northern New South Wales Stop Violence Against Women Action Group is committed to raising awareness and campaigning towards positive changes in women's human rights around the world. We focus on violence against women both within Australia and around the world, particularly in the Asia-Pacific region. We campaign to gain recognition of the responsibility of governments to provide adequate protection for women.

In 2009 we will be focusing on lobbying the Federal Government to sustainably fund a National Plan of Action to stop violence against women and assisting in the formation of a Amnesty International action group in Port Moresby (PNG).

Community BBQ to Stop Violence Against Women.
Annual Stop Violence Against Women Breakfast.
