Townsville

The Townsville group works on a Letter writing campaign and organized very actively protests regarding Guantanamo Bay. It is also planning some activities this year as part of the Demand Dignity Campaign

Past actions:

• First Friday in Orange – a campaign seeking justice for prisoners in Guantanamo Bay.
• Stand Up for Poverty – as part of the Make Poverty History campaign.

Plans for 2009:

• Rally to Close the Gap on April 2.
• Human Rights songwriting competition at the Palm Creek Folk Festival.
• Make Poverty History.
• We are also planning some activities this year as part of the Demand Dignity Campaign.
