James Cook University Townsville

The Townsville JCU group support several Amnesty International campaigns throughout the year. Annually a campaign is selected to be the topic for a panel discussion to build awareness among students.

Events

March 2010: Harmony Day Stall; Close the Gap (supporting the Townsville Group in their rally); raising awareness of the PNG Stop Violence Against Women Campaign; and raising awaress of the Niger Delta / Shell campaign.

August 2010: Panel Discussion on the Stop Violence Against Women campaign

Ongoing: Child Soldiers campaign and a Safety on campus petition
