Hi Graham, donating the money is the easy part, thank goodness we have hard working people like you and other Amnesty staff to do the hard work. Thank you for representing me in the media. Would love to see a wider coverage if more donations would permit. Thanks again.

Wonderful campaign indeed, and if it takes longer to deliver the message I’m sure we will all be glad to chip in again. Tell the world about it: http://wyattmosswellington.com/news.html#20

It’s very satisfying to see that so many Aussies care about the plight of the less fortunate genuine refugees & that they will not believe the media or the politicians who proudly claim their “strength against this issue”
as for example John Howard.
As Martin Luther King said
“when the power of love overcomes the love of power then there will be peace”.
We need decent humanitarian political programming
& positive organisation in this complex issue so that we can be proud to be supportive.

Hi Graham, a wonderful idea, hopefully it will start to make a dint. I think you and I agree, that when one person’s rights are ignored, trod on and dismissed, then we will all suffer in the end. A great idea, please do more and you can count on my support. I am to a small extent involved in trying to help Tibetan people mainly in the city of Xining, towards education and have a small group called the Butterfly Alliance who are just trying to help, because we believe that through education, one more family can say goodbye to poverty. My heart goes out to the refugees and one of my greatest wishes is to go to Christmas Island and bring some hope and dignity to a war weary people who have fled from one hell into another. Personally, I am ashamed of how of our politicans are arguing about who is the toughest on these poor people. We need to send a clear message that in a country with so much we can afford to be generous to those who have nothing. God Bless you.

Hi Graham,
Thanks for the opportunity to do something small that may be of some help. I am a mature age Ist year law student and am presently taking Human Rights over the summer semester and as it turns out our first assignment that our group has chosen is asylum seekers and the effects of mandatory detention on the children. Are there are any books or journal articles that you would recommend reading? We have researched quite a bit but any extra reading is always helpful.
Cheers
