This is a great opportunity to become involved with Amnesty International’s newest campaign – Demand Dignity. A major focus for this campaign is the human rights violations caused by poverty. Every person, everywhere in the world, has a basic right to an adequate standard of living – the right to food, water, housing, health and education. Our campaign to Demand Dignity will hold national and international leaders accountable for the human rights violations that drive and deepen poverty; and it will defend every person’s right to live with dignity. In Australia we will be focussing internationally on forced evictions in Cambodia and nationally on Indigenous poverty.
