Queer Network

This NEW Amnesty group is starting in Hobart in 2013 with a focus on supporting local and international Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, Intersex and Queer Rights.

This group will have a specific focus on local and international LGBTIQ issues and rights of LGBTIQ individuals and communities.

It aims to raise awareness of international human rights abuses against LGBTIQ people and raise the profile of these issues within Australia. To achieve this, the new group plans to work with other LGBTIQ Amnesty Groups around Australia and also work in solidarity with other LGBTIQ Groups to support local issues, including equal marriage rights.

The LGBTIQ group will meet on the last Thursday of every month at 5.15 pm.
