On Friday 11 December the Victorian branch of Amnesty International Australia is holding an Indigenous Rights Forum focusing on the NT Intervention.
Please join us to hear Sarah Marland, Demand Dignity Campaign Coordinator and Rodney Dillon Indigenous Rights Campaigner for Amnesty International Australia.
They will be discussing our Indigenous Rights Campaign with a focus on the human rights implications of the NT Intervention.
Amnesty International Victoria is pleased to announce that the forum will also feature 2009 NAIDOC Person of the Year Professor Larissa Behrendt. Professor Behrendt is a Eualeyai/Kamillaroi woman. She is the Professor of Law and Director of Research at the Jumbunna Indigenous House of Learning at the University of Technology, Sydney and is admitted to the Supreme Court of the ACT and NSW as a barrister. At Indigenous Rights Forum Professor Behrendt will discuss the human rights implications of the NT Intervention.
