The Hills
Our stall at Kallista
Winning team examining Trivia prizes
The Hills local group covers the Dandenong Ranges and foothills in outer eastern Melbourne.
We meet on the first Wednesday of each month at 8:00pm at the following venue:
Monbulk Family Clinic, 1-5 Mount Pleasant Road, Monbulk.
(Mt Pleasant Rd comes off Main Rd in the middle of the main shopping strip in Monbulk. The clinic comprises 3 houses in a row - we meet in the third one. There's parking at the rear) [Mel 124 H1]
Activities planned for the Hills group in 2012 include: manning a Saturday Stall at a local market in the Dandenongs to celebrate Candle Day, occasionally having a guest speaker at our monthly meeting, holding a couple of Letter-Writing nights, and later in the year a Trivia Night - which was a highly successful event in 2010.and 2011
Following a positive development in the Individual at Risk case our group worked on last year, the file is now closed.
We look forward to obtaining a new casefile soon so that we can again focus on supporting an Individual at Risk.
We're a relaxed and informal group and if you are interested in coming to one of our meetings or just being a part of our growing e-mail network,
please contact Peter at 03 9736 1763 or thecowans@bigpond.com

A huge turnout this year had the venue bursting with energy and trivia-inspired excitement! Our two wonderful hosts did a fantastic job, leading us through such diverse categories as current events, geography, the arts and a 'Spicks n Specks' type 'name that song' game - with baby-lullabies as musical clues! We had two very successful auctions, one silent and one very loud! - the highlights of these being 1) a worm farm and 2) a brand new ipad. These and a host of other items were generously donated by local businesses and people - we thank you all!. A large amount was raised for Amnesty.
