When it comes to the promotion and protection of human rights, it is people and their passion that create change.
The Branch Annual General Meeting (BAGM) is an event for all people passionate about positive change for human rights - whether you’re a long-time Amnesty International member or this is your first event with us.
At the BAGM this year you’ll be able to learn more about Amnesty International, get the low-down on our campaigns and successes over the past year and hear the exciting plans for the year ahead. You’ll also have the chance to take action on our Refugee, Dignity and Crisis campaigns, and share your passion and ideas for Amnesty International Australia’s work, campaigns and direction for the future.
The schedule for the BAGM is:
- Friday May 14, 6.00 to 8.30pm at the WA Action Centre. Light refreshments included.
- Saturday May 15, 9.45am to 2.00pm at the Great Southern Room, 4th Floor. State Library of WA. Perth Cultural centre. Morning tea and Light Lunch included.
- Public Action opposing changes to Refugee processing at 2.15pm at the Perth Cultural centre Amphitheatre after BAGM.
The agenda includes:
- Reports from the Branch Committee
- Branch and Board Representative elections
- Consideration of resolutions
- Voting for National Annual General Meeting delegates and observers
Please note that under Amnesty International Australia's Constitution, only members will be able to vote at this meeting.
