Amnesty’s vision for 2020 is that we will be an unstoppable movement. Our activist leaders are the driving force behind our movement. To grow our movement and our impact we need more leaders who can recruit and develop others and implement our national campaigns at a local level. That’s why in January we’ll be calling for nominations for our third annual Activist Leadership Weekend.
In 2018, we will bringing together about 20 leaders (existing and potential) from around the country. The participants will participate in a variety of workshops to harness and develop leadership and strategic campaigning skills, and participants will develop strategic plans that will feed into each regional plan. The aim of the weekend is to build on our grassroots leadership in order to realise our goals at a local, regional and national level.
The weekend will run over three big days from Friday 22 to Sunday 24 June 2018, and will be held in either Sydney or Melbourne.
More information on how to submit an expression of interest will be included in our first Leader bulletin on 18 January.
