Together, over 6,000 people have signed the petition to demand justice for Wendy – but we need to keep up the pressure. International Day for the Elimination of Violence against Women is on 25 November, and Amnesty supporters around the world are taking action for Wendy.

Send a tweet to demand justice for Wendy and ensure all those responsible are brought to justice.

Wendy Galarza has dedicated her life to making Mexico a safer and more compassionate place. When peacefully protesting another woman’s murder, Wendy was shot. Those responsible still haven’t been brought to justice. Undeterred, Wendy set up a collective with other women who were assaulted during the protest. “I will never let November 9th be forgotten,” she says. “I will continue to raise my voice and defend the human rights of myself and my partners in struggle.”

We want authorities to know that people around the world are watching and that we will hold them accountable. If enough people take action, we can pressure them to deliver justice for Wendy

Tweet the Attorney General and the Governor of Quintana Roo and let’s make sure the authorities deliver justice for Wendy.
