Yackandandah Action Group

About us: Our local Amnesty group meets in Yackandandah each month. Group members write letters and take actions concerning human rights. Our group welcomes new members. We undertake actions and events focusing on Refugees and Indigenous rights.

Meeting time: 7pm, 4th Thursday of the month

Western Suburbs Action Group

About us: The Western Suburbs Group needs the support of the Perth community in its campaign for human rights.

The group is focused on letter writing which has been the core role of Amnesty International since its foundation in 1961. Members of the group also engage with MP’s on human rights issues.

Meeting time: 6pm, 2nd Tuesday of the month (except January)

Warrnambool Action Group

About us: Join the Warrnambool Group of Amnesty International to defend people who are denied justice and freedom. Together we sign petitions, write letters and also take online actions.

The Warrnambool Group informs ourselves and others about human rights around the world. This work helps survivors of human rights abuses and also their families.

Meeting time: 7.30pm, 1st Wednesday of the month

Walkerville Action Group

About us: We are SA/NT’s longest running action group, beginning in the 1970s. We write letters in support of prisoners of conscience and urgent actions.

WA Women’s Rights Group

About us: We are a diverse group of women who aim to address discrimination against women in a fun and empowering way.

The Women’s Rights Group is specifically focusing on the issue of violence against women and its impact on female incarceration rates of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples. We also aim to educate ourselves about the intersecting categories of oppression.
