Bendigo Action Group

We are a group of activists from Central Victoria who have been championing human rights in Bendigo for 40 years!

The Bendigo Action Group usually meets at 2.00 pm on the second Friday of the month* at the Bendigo Library, 259 Hargreaves Street (meeting room 3, upstairs). However during 2020 (as the Library has been closed due to COVID) Bendigo Group has been meeting on Zoom – 5pm second Friday of each month.

We are always looking for new members to join us in championing social change.

Braidwood Action group

The Braidwood group run stalls at local markets, including the famous Braidwood Quilt festival as well as letter writing events.

We were founded in 1993 by passionate people committed to human rights. We value collaboration and inclusion, and promote human rights at a local level.

Brisbane Lunchtime Letter Writing

We meet once a month to write letters on urgent situations where people’s human rights are violated. It’s a great way to take action on human rights causes from around the world, all in your lunchtime!

We have members more than happy to help you get started.

Brunswick Action Group

 

We are a group that holds a range of events to champion human rights.

The Brunswick Action Group holds letter-writing events, where we write letters for authorities to prevent human rights violations.

We also organise stalls, movie nights and more! The Brunswick Action Group meets at 10:30am on the last Saturday of each month at PepperJacks Café.

Bunbury Action Group

The Bunbury Group is a long standing small group of committed individuals who meet on the first Wednesday of the month.

The Bunbury Group engages in letter writing and organises fundraising events. The group have also been steadily campaigning on behalf of prisoners of conscience.

Carlton Action Group

Our group has a diversity of ages and cultural backgrounds. Meetings are friendly occasions where we can discuss activities and events that are important to the group, as well as Amnesty campaigns.

We meet regularly to discuss human rights issues in the Hills. We have a particular passion for Indigenous rights and the rights of asylum seekers and refugees.
