Stand up for women's rights

For 2018, Amnesty activists can promote women’s rights and help end online violence against women.

The issue

Online abuse and violence against women is escalating, stifling women’s right to freedom of expression.

The goal

We want social media platforms to be a safe space where women are able to express themselves freely, equally and without fear.

What you can do

You can hold stalls at markets and events in your local community to raise awareness about the issue and encourage people to sign a petition. Activists are encouraged to make their stall fun and creative with a giant social-media photo frame and hand-held emojis for photos!
