HELPED ENSURE MORE COUNTRIES ABOLISH THE DEATH PENALTY
The global push towards the abolition of the death penalty continued to gather momentum, with 141 countries now abolitionist in law or practice.
Thanks to your kind gifts, and urgent actions from over 12,000 Amnesty supporters, Salar Shadizadi, who was sentenced to death
for a crime he committed when he was a child, was released after 10 years from a prison in northern Iran. He can now undergo rehabilitation programs, building a brighter future for himself.
