Kacey Teerman is a Gomeroi woman and the Indigenous Rights Associate Campaigner at Amnesty International Australia. She has experience in advocacy and campaigning in the Indigenous Rights space and is passionate about self-determination and bringing meaningful and substantive change for First Nations People. She can speak on issues including raising the age of criminal responsibility, diversion and early intervention programs, justice reinvestment and Indigenous youth justice more broadly.

Kyinzom is an experienced advocate and activist having been both a member of the Tibetan Parliament in Exile and the CEO of the Australia Tibet council. She has a wealth of experience in the intersection of government policy and human rights and can speak from experience on issues relating to the CCP’s colonisation and human rights abuses.

Mohamed is a Fundraiser, Campaigner, and Government Relations Advisor with over 20 years' experience. Of Palestinian and Egyptian descent, he has worked with the Asylum Seekers' Centre, GetUp!, and Grata Fund. He contributed to the Doctors4Refugees High Court case, which removed secrecy laws in offshore detention, and supported Santa Teresa residents in winning humane housing for First Nations people. Mohamed campaigned for a ceasefire in Gaza and the restoration of UNRWA funding, and his work with Amnesty International helped secure a UN Security Council vote in 2023. He holds a Master of Human Rights from the University of Sydney and is on the Sydney Peace Prize Jury and Council.

Nikita is a campaigner with extensive experience and degrees in law and international relations, she has been at the forefront of briefings to DFAT on issues including human rights in Iran, as well as briefing Professional Footballers Australia members of the Socceroos on human rights and advocating for Football Australia to sign onto FIFA’s human rights policy. She is also Amnesty's Lead campaigner for a Human Rights Act.

Rodney (he/him) is a Palawa man and Elder who has been a lifelong advocate for First Nations peoples’ rights. A member of ATSIC and currently chair of the Tasmanian Aboriginal Heritage Council. He has personally campaigned for and won the cultural fishing practises and has campaigned on other justice issues since he started working with Amnesty in 2007.

Sam is an accomplished leader in the community and not-for-profit space for more than 25 years. Prior to becoming Amnesty International Australia National Director she was General Manager of UnitingCare Community and is currently chair of the young women’s breast cancer charity, So Brave.

Zaki (he/him) is an advocate for the rights of refugees and asylum seekers in Australia and around the world. He sought asylum by boat and survived the cruel temporary protection visa and family separation regime for more than 10 years. He has an extensive network of advocates with lived experience.

Rach is a qualified social worker, and a passionate activist in the Indigenous Rights space, having successfully campaigned Australia Post to officially include First Nations place names in addresses in Australia. Rach can speak on issues including raising the age of criminal responsibility, community-led solutions such as diversion programs, and the underlying social determinants of youth incarceration that lead to the overrepresentation of First Nations young people in the prison system.
