On the eve of the National Day of Action for Gaza, Amnesty International Australia projected powerful messages across landmarks in major cities nationwide, in collaboration with community activists.
The projections called for an immediate end to Israel’s genocide in Gaza.

Landmarks in Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane, Canberra, Adelaide, Perth, Hobart, Alice Springs and the Gold Coast were illuminated by the call to stop Israel’s genocide.
Following the UN-backed Integrated Food Security Phase Classification’s declaration of famine in Gaza, which affects 514,000 people, nearly a quarter of the population and expected to rise to 641,000 by the end of September, the call for action is more urgent than ever.

Amnesty International Australia reiterates its demands for the immediate and unhindered delivery of aid into Gaza, an end to the use of starvation as a weapon of war, and the implementation of a permanent and sustained ceasefire. We urge the Government to take concrete action to immediately end the genocide in Gaza, bring an end to the unlawful occupation, and dismantle Israel’s apartheid system.

Amnesty also proudly endorses the National Day of Action for Gaza, where Australians will call on the Government to prevent complicity in Israel’s crimes, taking to the streets to rally and demand an immediate and permanent ceasefire, a two-way arms embargo, and urgent action to ensure perpetrators are brought to justice.
Amnesty International is a global movement of more than 10 million people who take injustice personally. We are campaigning for a world where human rights are enjoyed by all – and we can only do it with your support.
