You have changed thousands of lives.

This year you gave us the means to stand with brave human rights advocates from across the globe, to campaign for justice, equality and freedom.

You helped to free Teodora

Teodora was arrested in 2007 after suffering a stillbirth, for which she was accused of murder. Teodora was released this February after you gave us the means to share her story with the international community, stand with her lawyers, and push for future change.

Over the last 12 months you've stood with women in countries all over the world, including: Egypt, El Salvador, Ecuador, Malaysia, Turkey and Russia.

You started a neighbourhood-led movement for refugees

Your gifts helped to create new pathways for refugees to safely settle in Australia. This March, the ACT passed a motion that unanimously accepted Amnesty Supporters' call for fair and accessible community sponsorship, and more neighbourhoods are on their way!

Over the last month alone your support has helped us to run 25 grassroots events to welcome our new neighbours.

You stood with Sakris Kupila against government mandated sterilisation

Your support ensured Sakris can continue his human rights work in a safer environment. In response to our campaign Sakris said: "I received thousands of kind messages; so many that I'm still reading through them all now."

Over the last 12 months you’ve stood for the medical rights of people in Uzbekistan, Sudan, Gaza, Manus Island as well as Australian kids in detention.

Your generosity helped to free İdil.

İdil Eser, the Director of Amnesty International Turkey, was arrested for attending human rights training. You made it possible for us to campaign tirelessly for İdil and other brave leaders, leading to İdil and 7 others' release last October. Your continued support will help us protect more human rights defenders in Turkey.

You helped us run a campaign that led to the release of İdil and 7 others in October last year, after they were arrested while attending a human rights training.

Over the last 12 months you have brought freedom to over 100 people silenced for defending human rights.

You helped Indigenous leaders create better futures for kids

You helped mobilise thousands of Amnesty supporters to demand action in response to the Northern Territory Royal Commission. As a result, 10 and 11 year old kids in the NT will be kept in community, where they can grow and thrive. With your ongoing support we continue to campaign to #raisetheage and keep kids under 14 out of prison.

Since you joined us, your support has lead to tens of thousands of Australians standing up for Indigenous kids.
