If you’re in the Redlands and are interested in making a difference, pop down to the Harvest Cafe on April 29 at 10:00am.
Amnesty International’s Redlands action group hold regular letter writing events for anyone with an interest in human rights.
Letter writing has been the core of Amnesty International’s work since 1961, and to this day, the simple act of putting pen to paper has freed countless people from prison.
On April 29 the group will write letters asking governments to release prisoners of conscience and human rights defenders between 10:00 and 12:00 at the Harvest Cafe in Victoria Point.
We’ll provide the cases, pens and paper, all you need to do is join other human rights advocates and stand for those who have no voice. You can have a coffee and a chat with minded people – and feel free to drop-in at a time that suits you.
Look for the yellow and black Amnesty International candle.
