Join the the University of Adelaide Amnesty Club for a screening of the feel-good soul music film ‘The Sapphires’ at the The University of Adelaide Roseworthy Campus.

The Sapphires is set in 1969 and tells the true story of the McCrae sisters, four Aboriginal singers from country Victoria whose biggest dream is to become as famous as their Motown idols. Amongst the great music, the film also explores the obstacles they have to overcome as Aboriginal people in a country that had only just given them the right to vote.

There will also be opportunity for you to take action for Indigenous Rights through Amnesty’s #CommunityIsEverything campaign!
