Cambodia: ‘Nobody wants to leave their home’: mass forced evictions at Cambodia’s UNESCO world heritage site of Angkor

This report highlights the human rights violations that have occurred in the context of the continuing relocation of thousands of residents from the UNESCO World Heritage Site of Angkor in Cambodia between 2022 and 2023. The report also assesses the actions and responsibilities of the Cambodian authorities, in particular its violation of international human rights laws and standards, as well as the lack of decisive action from stakeholders involved in the conservation of the site, including UNESCO.
