Filmed over ten years, ‘Constance on the Edge’ follows the journey of Constance Okot and her six children who fled war-torn Sudan and resettled in Wagga Wagga, New South Wales. The film explores the challenges refugees face and the trauma that can follow years after resettlement.

The panel discussion will feature the director of the film, Belinda Mason, people from refugee backgrounds and specialised agencies to discuss Australia’s ongoing punitive and restrictive immigration policies and to share stories of struggle, bravery and hope.

Tickets cost $10 and will support the work of Refugee Advice and Casework Service (RACS). RACS provides free legal assistance to people seeking asylum and refugees seeking to reunite with their families.

Join us for an amazing evening of film and inspiring conversations with like-minded people!
