The case:

Amnesty Watergardens is speaking up for Loghman Sawari. He is an Iranian refugee who was unlawfully detained on Manus Island, where he faced persecution and abuse.

What we hope to achieve:

We will write letters to the Papua New Guinea authorities, calling on them to drop the criminal charges against Loghman. We will also urge them to provide him with appropriate health care and ensure his needs for food and housing are met. Lastly, we will also seek his settlement in Australia or a suitable third country.

We will also be writing letters to Loghman to show him that he is not alone, and that there are people in Australian who are fighting for his right to live freely and comfortably in safety.
