The Makers & Flea Market is a weekly outdoor market held at CERES Environment Park, selling quality handmade, vintage, up-cycled, pre-loved & eco-friendly goods.

In recognition of Human Rights Day, the Watergardens Group will hold a Write for Rights stall to support Amnesty’s campaign to create positive change for Individuals at Risk suffering human rights abuses.

Whilst you browse the wide variety of exciting market goods in a relaxed and friendly atmosphere, stop by our stall and learn about ten individuals – all Human Rights Defenders – who have dared to stand up for causes they believe in, ranging from environmental issues, LBGTQI rights, Indigenous land rights and more.

You can help secure their freedom and safety with the stroke of a pen. Sign one petition or sign them all – there’s sure to be a case you strongly relate to, and write a personal message of support on postcards provided by us. We’ll have free goodies to give away, too. And……if you bring your pets (or photos of them), we’ll make them a star on our Facebook page because #HUMANRIGHTSAREPAWSOME!
