Anna Neistat is the Director of Research at the IS and a powerful and captivating guest speaker. Earlier this year, she travelled in secret to Nauru to research and document human rights abuses faced by asylum seekers. This event will be a talk by Anna followed by a Q&A.

We believe this will be an inspiring and impactful event, and a chance to increase engagement of our current activists in the refugee campaign.

The event with Tirana Hassan earlier this year was very successful in stepping up some key activists in their work on the Syria crisis and we intend for Anna’s talk to provide insight into the global refugee work and motivate our activist base for the global campaign.

Anna has worked in more than 60 countries around the world monitoring human rights. One of her most recent missions was to Nauru where she reported on the shameful treatment of refugees and asylum seekers. Down-to-earth, warm and courageous, Anna has extraordinary insight into human rights around the world.
