“In a land where being a woman, being a mother and being a human rights defender is difficult on their own, being all three is an unforgivable crime” – Narges Mohammadi

About her case:

An advocate for women’s rights in Iran, Narges protested against acid attacks on women. This was just one of many efforts she has made to defend human rights. Other acts also included calling for an end to the death penalty. She is now serving a 16 year prison sentence for daring to speak out.

What we are doing about it:

The Amnesty Melbourne Uni group is just one group of many who are speaking up for Narges Mohammadi. We will be asking for people to sign a petition. We will also give out daffodils with information about the case.

Narges Mohammadi is a fellow human rights defender. We stand with her!
