Amnesty International Gold Coast invites you to commemorate National Sorry Day in recognition of Indigenous Australians we were forcibly removed from their families during the Stolen Generation. We will also be celebrating Amnesty International’s 59th birthday, and all of the wins we have achieved for human rights in those years.

This is a great opportunity to learn more about the importance of human rights and about Amnesty’s work, including our work with Indigenous communities and people seeking asylum to fight discrimination, unfair detention and to demand safety and a fair justice system for all.

There will be several special guest speakers including former Chair of the National Board Gabe Kavanagh; Townsville group convenor and QLD/NNSW ALC President Peter Hanley. There will be interactive discussions and videos, questions and answers, and the opportunity to meet like-minded people and get to know more about Amnesty.

Hear about how you can get involved with Amnesty and make a difference in the global movement for justice, equality and dignity for all!
